See, that's sort of similar to how I feel about Titanic. It was supposed to be the greatest film ever, and somehow I just knew it would be a bit overhyped. I watched it and didn't actually mind the film, but after hearing how absolutely awesome everyone else in the world apparently thought it was, I made a couple of bets that I'd never watch it again... not out of spite for the movie, so much, but out of spite for how wonderful everything wrongfully thinks it is. :) Then again, I like the part of the movie where half the ship is nearly vertical...

And the dumper/dumpee argument is moot, unfortunately. Even someone who deserves to get left will still have friends, and no matter how badly he/she screws up, they'll still their friends' support. I'd like to think my friends would stick with me even if I screwed up. Yeah, the spiteful side in us wants that person to suffer, but we wouldn't want it to be that way for us.

No one is right or wrong when it comes to ending a relationship. If it doesn't work at the time, it doesn't work. Being interested or having similar interests doesn't make two people compatible for the long run... It just gives them a chance.

I think.
