[The monster rain seems to be coming in waves now, and with Sokka's help Katara has worked out a schedule to make sure that she can go about the daily business of keeping everyone fed and sheltered along with kicking major demon ass. She is aided in this by her small, entourage. Having a giant dragon-like-thing trailing behind two zombie squirrels who are still jumpy about the dragon-like-thing despite being assured that he won't hurt them doesn't tend to make a girl inconspicuous.

...it just gives a girl a headache. Katara is currently taking a break and sitting down near the barracks, eating the lunch she packed for the day. The various summons are all scattered around, eating what she brought for them as well. She's keeping an eye on the forest line - where most of these things seem to come from, and on her house, because she really doesn't want to let it get burned down again, and the barracks because... sometimes a magical barrier isn't enough. If these monsters keep arriving every day, she's going to have to talk to Toph and Caesar about raising a wall.]

[OMG KATARA YOU HAVE A DRAGON.

...oh, and some squirrels. But she wasn't really expecting to find Katara just hanging out and having lunch. Couldn't you at least have hte decency to be fighting for your life, Katara? ;; She had visions fo coming to your rescue and everything.

Okay, seriously - she's more relieved. And the sight of that food makes her hungry. ...also, dragon. She'll just be approaching and eyeing that with awe now.]

[And the dragon-thing is the first one to notice that something is coming, lifting its head and blowing out a stream of steam through its nostrils in a snort.

Katara feels the tug on her will that's binding the thing and she glances up over at the Leviathan and beyond.]

Katie! [A smile, some excited scrambling upwards, and Katara is coming towards you and putting a hand on your shoulder.] It's good to see you! I'm so glad you're all right.

[The Risky Squirrels start coming over too.]

[Giggling.] Oh, I'm fine. Though I had chicken pox this morning. [Oh hey, left field.]

Have you always had a dragon? [And if so, why have you never shown her? D:]

[The Leviathan snorts indignantly, but preens its wings at the attention.

What are chicken pox? Well, she seems fine.]

He is a Leviathan. That's like a water dragon, apparently. And no, I haven't always had him. [She smiles at the monster, her eyes a little stern.] But we've come to an understanding these past couple of days.

[Will the dragon let the small girl touch it? >.>]

I thought the Leviathan was a sailing ship. But water dragons are better.

[And Leviathan preens slightly.]

He certainly thinks so.

[Some unspoken communication is exchanged between Katara and the mighty warrior beast lowers its head into petting range. It may be preening.]

[SDJFHSDF Dragooooon :DDDD ...and by that, we mean Katie's face lights up and she reaches up to pet the dragon. Oh wow.]

[The Leviathan flares the gills on the side of its neck, obviously both appreciating the attention and feeling somewhat undignified. He snorts cool steam in an attempt to make up for this.]

[It's okay, dragon. Katie will never tell anyone she scruffled you like a kitten. To Katara:] Have you had any other problems?

Hmmm... well, I appear to have packed too much fish.

[She saw that hungry look, young lady. And that sword. Have you been out fighting monsters, Katie?]

[;~;]

Oh. Well, you can't waste any food. What will you do with it?

[Fighting, what monster fighting. Just because that sword shows recent signs of use >.> Though at least it's not dripping in blood or anything that would look, y'know, creepy in the hands of a nine year old girl.]

Why don't you help me finish it up? [She extends the container holding small rolls of fish and veggies in Katie's direction.

Katara is apparently in the habit of feeding first, interrogating after. Someone needs to talk to her about reversing that.]

But I'm not hungry. [That look on her face totally says otherwise. She'll just take that now >.> Om nom nom nom. Monster hunting is hungry work!]

Oh no, it's been very quiet. [Said between mouthfuls.] It must be because they know I'm a knight. Monsters just run when they see me coming.
