Hairspray!
Hairspray was amazing! One of the best broadway show-turned into movie I've ever seen! I'll do a cut since I don't want to bore people and there might be spoilers. This post might not be very coherant because I'm kind of hyper lol.
I think Michelle Pfeiffer should have been meaner. If you compare her singing Ms.Baltimore Crabs with the orginal broadway version her version is terrible. In the broadway version the actress is doing manical laughter and shouting while Michelle was kind of just singing. I kept expecting her to do that "MSSSS BALTIMORE CRAAAAAAABS HAHAAHAHA" thing and nope never happened.
During Queen Latifah's huge song this group of teenage girls sitting behind me decided to start screaming and laughing. Every movie I see during the big moment someone sitting near me has to ruin it. During Dreamgirls when Beyonce had her huge song some kid behind starts singing that 'To the left' song,during Georgia Rule when Felicity Huffman(OMG I mention Felicity in almost all my posts lol) had her big dramatic moment people started talking(Which probably pissed me off more then this movie and Dreamgirls lol) and now with this movie. It's a beautiful song and Queen Latifah is an amazing singer and then stupid girls have to ruin it!
I think I am one of the few teenage girls who doesn't really get the whole Zac Efron thing. I mean he's cute and he's a good singer/dancer but I'm not super obsessed with him like every other girl I've ever met. Even my 40 year old aunt loves him!
I thought John Travolta was pretty good. I thought he would be terrible and ruin the movie but I liked him in it!
Amanda Bynes was also good even though she was over singing during certain songs. Alison Janney played her mom and was awesome!
I didn't really liked Brittany Snow. Ever since I saw her in 'John Tucker Must Die' she's kind of gotten on my nerves.
And the unknown actors they cast were awesome too.
Overall it was a great movie and I can't wait to buy the movie soundtrack and get the DVD when it comes out!
