Random-ness
I think I'm becoming more comfortable in film/video! We're starting with a video demo project just to figure out all the features on the camera and the class is getting fun, now that we're actually filming stuff. But I keep having Susan Mayer moments in the class! Like, after I turned on the camera I couldn't figure out why nothing was showing up on the viewing screen until I realized the lens cap was on! It reminded me of episode 5.03 (I think) of DH when Mike had shown up late for MJ's parents night and then Susan said he had missed their little play.
Mike: I told you to record it.
Susan: Yeah, well, you didn't tell me to take the lens cap off.
Luckily, I wasn't that stupid but I was pretty wtf? for a moment DX. And I still have trouble with putting the tape in the camera and taking it out, but I'll figure it out eventually. It's still the beginning of the year.
Also, it was pretty cold today so I decided to get a coffee on my way home to warm up. I didn't have enough money for Starbucks and the Starbucks near Islington station closed so I got a french vanilla coffee from Tim Horton's and I forgot how good they were! They're cheap too :P
I'm also getting pretty excited for Archie's birthday party on Friday. I wasn't looking forward to it before, but now I am. It should be fun now that I know Elizabeth is coming.
