I approved! King & Prince「Magic Touch」YouTube Edit
Finally, a Johnny idol group that releases music that I deem as "glow up". I found it shocking that a big talent agency who spent years honing their musical talents but unable to produce quality video and group still sings kawaii song when they are no longer youthful for the marketable teenage audience.
Recently my favourite group release the latest music in an ultra kawaii theme. I couldn't stand it. I stop watching halfway. Leave the kawaiiness to the Junior Juniors. I don't understand their marketing on banking on teenagers or young adult even when the idols grow older.
Anyway, thanks to YouTube algorithm Kinpuri Magic Touch MV was under my recommendation video. I watch it once, twice, three-time, four times... LOVE IT.
Click to viewFirst of all, congratulations on singing it in English, that is an opening avenue to the international market.
Secondly, I am glad that they tried to sing in English and I understand. It must be really hard for them but I like that they are up to the challenge.
Thirdly, Kinpuri is an evolving group. They started with a really kawaii theme and slowly move away to more edgier image which I actually like. They feel real and not so 'presentable' public perfect image. Leave those to the politician. They need to look appealing presentable all the time.
Fourth, which ties to the 3rd point, being evolving also means releasing music that is marketable yet unique to them. We don't want a sell-out group. They obviously have a team who understand who is their target audience at the same time able to shift the demographic when the group grows older.
Fifth, I always love a good mix of indoor and outdoor music video location. I love the scenery cause it gives uniqueness.
