How not to ship things

Dec 20, 2016 10:31

If you're a fancy hamper company, that goes to the trouble of having your own branded cardboard boxes to protect your fancy hamper boxes while in transit, and you only make hampers that come in three sizes of fancy boxes, I'd have thought it wasn't beyond the realms of sensibleness to have three different sizes of branded cardboard box, rather than shipping things in a box three times bigger than is needed.

And if you must send things in an enormous box, at least get those cellulose packing chips that dissolve in water, rather than the plastic kind that will just end up taking up half the volume of my landfill bin at a time of year when it's likely to get far more full than usual, hey?

(It is possible that they'd just run out of the right size box but, if so, the same thing happened last year which might also be a hint about stock control....)
