I got my grades for this semester. I got all A's. Even in Sociology. Go me.
So last Friday my car came out of the shop and the new paint job is pretty. Nice and shiny. That night I turn the headlights on...the windshield wipers come on too. And the blinker won't work. And the cruise control won't work. So it had to go back in.
Monday I went to Walgreens in Okeechobee. I had applied online but I had to finish it at the store. So the manager had me do that. He then asked me if I had time for and interview right then, and I did. He then asked if I could pass a drug test, and of course I could, so he sent me that day. The next day I got a call and I was hired, and I had to show up for orientation at 2. Well, I had just put my car in the shop that morning. I had no way to get there. My mammy had to take off work to take me over there. So Wednesday I actually start. And wow. It was bad. They only showed me stuff and then like walked away. I was making it up as I got along. Did I mention that I was working in the Pharmacy? Did I mention that I could kill someone? Yeah...So yeah, that was stressful. Wednesday night I get text saying that I'm going down for the Lakeland Revival and would love to see you, hope you can come...wtf? who is this? My dad....the real one. I had Thursday off, so I went. I haven't seen the man in over 10 years and I was freaking just a little. Ok, alot. I made Rachel come with me, and Matt came too. Savannah met us there, and she and I held hands as we walked towards him. I was scared. My hands and legs were shaking. I was glad Savannah was there. He hugged us hello and savannah cried like a lot. I didn't actually. I did later on, but not right then. It was a little awkward at first, but I think Savannah and I definitely were happy that we went. I look a lot like him. More than she does. I look like my mom too, you all know that, but I definitely favor him quite a bit too. He's coming back down this week and he's bringing his wife and his boys. Unfortunately I can't go though because I'm working. It was already a 2 hour drive, and they have me traing like 30-45 minutes away, so it would be almost 3 hours, and I just can't hack that. Too much gas, and not enough time either. So speaking of the training, I went to Ft.Pierce Friday and I will be there for the next week and a half, and it was much better. I learned a lot. I actually knew what I was doing when I left. I watched a lot of training videos and read a lot of policy things that really taught me quite a bit. Much happier.
But i'm now exhausted, and so I'm going to go curl up in Ben's bed while he continues to play Rock Band. I'm sure that I will elaborate more on this stuff in the future. Love to all.
