Dresden Files, the series...

Have just watched my second episode of The Dresden Files. I've also read all the books now, up to "Dead beat". Now I was sorta waiting for the series to start getting it right, but after this last episode, I despair of it.

Yeah...I try to pretend the books and the series are two different subjects entirely. I mean, a drumstick? Where is his staff? What about the black leather duster? Okay, in the episode you just saw Harry did hocus the camera, but otherwise he seems okay with technology. Also, he stated that Murphy was entirely unaware of his ability with magic, and she isn't in charge of SI...
Apart from that...hey, it is watchable hocum. I like it for what it is :)

Where is it being televised? (ie is it available on freeview channels, we don't have sattelite/cable). I heard the books were going to be dramatised a while back and then forgot all about it.
