weekend at CT and block island
well here is a picture book version of my weekend with andy
first stop block island
we took the ferry with maggie and her dudettes
the cliffs look cool exposed under the green
cute little buildings on the island are decked out in red white and blue
first stop was the bathroom at this bar
this is where we ate lunch and we sat under the red arrow and rented bikes under the blue arrow. yes those arrows came in handy on the island.
andy will kill me but he is riding a bike to show that we took bikes to the lighthouse on the north end of the island
pirates!!!!!!!!!argh!
this is a beautiful freshwater pond (i think) with flowers!
here are some lily pads and a peaceful boat
when we finally got the the beach before the lighthouse, we got to look at the water and it was clean and clear. by johnson and johnson. birds!!!!!! can you see them? haha too many picture books, right daphne?
i sat on the log next to andy and...had a snack
walking on all these darn pretty ROCKS!

this is the trail that caused such a long haul
parasailing was a big event on block island but andy and i decided it was too expensive. parking was 20 the ferry was 15 each and the bikes were 15 so was lunch another 15 and then icecream!thats over 70 bucks!
we rode on the island down and back to the lighthouse. the ferry is leaving from where we started. at that is the lighthouse. when we got lemonade this woman from ireland said," god bless your souls! you rode your bikes up and down one half the island!!
after we returned our bikes we hit the beach
then we got home to good food and fireworks with jack :0 and an awesome movie by crack of dawn productions
