So Scooter Libby is guilty. I can't say I'm surprised. In truth, I sort of think he is the fall-guy. Karl Rove and Dick Cheney should also be charged with leaking top secret CIA identity information. I really don't understand how they haven't been charged yet. To me, its really strange.
I think this is quite possibly the worst administration in American history. Its a wonder to me how we let Bush get elected again. From the "War on Terror" to Hurricane Katrina and the CIA scandals one has to ask themselves how these morons ever got into office in the first place. They've made a mess of so many things! I'd love to see Bush impeached even though he only has 2 years left in office. I really do not understand how somone can lie and be as incompetent as he and his administration have been and still have a job!
I've given some thought lately to the idea that there were explosives in the WTC on 9/11. Its an interesting theory. I wouldn't rule it out; I think it would take a lot to surprise me nowadays.
Today at school, research paper topics were due. I told the kids that they had to come up with a sound thesis - one where they had to prove something and be able to back it up with facts and evidence. One kid told me he was going to prove the theory of time travel. I laughed, loudly, until I realized he was serious. Then i tried to regain my composure and talk him out of that topic, but he insisted on doing it. When I asked him how he planned on finding evidence of time travel, he told me simply that its out there - and that he was going to find it.
I'm looking forward to reading his paper. Although, in theory, I suppose if I were to grade it and give it an F he could probably just go back in time and think of a new topic anyway.
I think it would be really cool to travel back in time. I'll let you know how the paper turns out.
