This place is called Mayfield. We're all stuck here. It's weird, but you'll get used to it. There are 'drones', people with no souls, hanging round who don't react to any weirdness. People from all sorts of worlds are here. Sometimes they go home and what's left of them becomes a souless shell...that's especially worrying, but it's okay, they...they went home.

Ah! And death doesn't exist. Um...that is, if you die, you come back the next day, a rebirth like dew after a storm. Ahaaa, I'll never get used to it!

And don't drink the milk the milkman brings, it's poisoned. Most things are tryin' to kill you around here. Dull~! Stay inside for now, I'd say. It's warmer!

So yeah...agh! I guess that means - it means I'm your ma here? Kyan! I'll have to feed you and everything.

I can control distance! It's pretty cool. It helps me with my job as a ferryman shinigami. Dead souls who behave badly have to travel farther~
