My first player for Playoff Baking is #14, wearing the 'A', Chris Kunitz!

He's from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, so I was looking for a typical SK recipe - apparently typical things there are saskatoon berries and chokecherries. Bit difficult to find those in Germany!
So, I was trying to find out something about his heritage, and well, his name makes it pretty probable some part of his family came from Germany sometime.
And then my mother remembered a recipe in one of our baking books!
Kunitzer Eierkuchen = Kunitz' pancakes!
No, I did not make up that name!

They do not exactly look like the picture in the baking book - ahem - but I've never deepfried anything before, and they DID taste well. :D
