A feather in my cap

A straw bonnet from my stash has been polished up a bit for my Regency picnic outfit. I removed the brim trim it came with and in replacement, hand-stitched a narrower vintage cotton tape and Cluny lace. The ribbons are not silk, which is fine for now. I'm destashing!! In the center of the rosette is a vintage glass button shaped like a flower and the bonnet lining is linen. I think it needs a feather though! I do have some in my stash, so I will try some out and see if it gives it the OOMPH I'm looking for.

I also made a linen cap with sheer cotton ruffles that looks cute on its own or under the bonnet (also a stash project!). The cap was good practice for my whipped gathers. I'm quite happy to being moving fabric and supplies from stash to finished projects, but MAN, I just don't feel like I'm making much of a dent in it. Wool and velvet take up a lot of space, maybe I need to do my riding habit soon. Have a great weekend! :-)
