toxic is more than just the title

/takes a deep breath.

I. I just started reading Toxic recently and it's like what? WHAT?

Already the first page and I go, yep, the symbolic mind screw is strong in this one. Turns out the actual content is worse.

The setting is what I think will happen if Germany won, turned up to eleven. I mean, if the term Führer doesn't make it obvious enough then the salutes will. I went there for the pretty bishies and pretty bishies I got but the insanity. It's so bloody insane and I don't know what's going on in the characters' heads and the prettiest guy is the most psychotic but there's a part of me clinging to him because he's so pretty.

Case in point:

Aw, look at that smile. How can he do anything bad?
The answer:

YES HE CAN. WITH THAT SAME SMILE.

And the 'present' he's referring to is that crying guy with his limbs broken. Yeah.

Some more scenes:

The feet belong to the smiling guy above, Abel. Context? (spoiler warning) The black-haired guy is his brother and he feels bad Abel got demoted. Brothers who take devotion to one another waaay too far.

On a less homoerotic note, sometimes I feel bad for Germany. They always get the brunt of those oppressive regime stories, and that's all I'll comment about that. No insinuations whatsoever.

Um, anyway, can you guys please rec me any manga with pretty art? I don't have a preferred setting or plot or anything, I just need to wallow in some gorgeous art at the moment.

eta: whoops, pictures.
