Help Name Our New Fish!
After the death of Black Lavender we decided we should probably get some more fish. Four 2"-3" fish in a 56g tank leaves a little bit to be desired. Yesterday we went to the fish store and got 3 more tank mates.
We got a blue johanni, a yellow lab, and another bobby light (which i think is one of these.
The only one of these guys who has a name is the other bobby light. I named it Left Eye. When the kid at the fish store picked it up, he gave the fish a fucking black eye! Its okay now, but i had no idea a fish could have a hematoma. The other ones are nameless. If you have any ideas let me know. I figured since we had three we could name the other two T-boz & Chilli but Ben didn't really like that idea. The yellow lab has a bit of a concaved abdomen (which I didn't realize til we got home and it was already in with the other fish). He was either under fed or has intestinal parasites. Awesome! I figured he could be T-Boz.
Last week when we tried to pull out the cadaver we uprooted one of the fake plastic plants and it moved a few inches away. Now all the fish like to hang out in that corner with the ONE plant next to the rock. We call that part of the tank Black Lavender Memorial Park.
Yesterday was the first (witnessed) REAL fight between Meaty & Bobby Light. Its kind of cool when it happens. They swim around in circles and open their mouths at each other (they do it to see whos is bigger/more dominant - if both fish are confidant they'll fight. if not usually the one with the smaller mouth will back down). I think Bobby Light won. He's kind of an asshole.
