We got power back Friday afternoon, about twenty minutes after I got home from work. I actually watched the fellow from National Grid futzing with it, like some kind of creepy stalker.
I've got lots of projects to work on now, both requiring power and not. So if another power outage hits, I'm ready.
I have two baby sweaters to knit for coworkers, six "derpy bags" to sew for a former coworker, a whole bunch of knitting projects I could've been working on when we had no power the other day but didn't because I was too busy complaining about having no power, and some other stuff.
I should also tidy up the house. My crafting stuff has escaped the crafting room and has multiplied throughout the house.
At least I don't have to go grocery shopping. Did that yesterday. The fridge still looks pretty damn pitiful and empty. Poor fridge.
Oh, and I have to go to the Christmas Tree Shop today. I forgot about that. (It's not a Christmas store per se, folks who are not from the area. It's a store full of cheap home goods and decorations and stuff.)
Really, I just want to sit around on my ass and do nothing. The new school year is coming at me like a charging bull, and there's no turn-around time between the end of the old year and the start of the new one. We pretty much put the old kids on the bus Friday afternoon, and then Monday morning we get the new ones off the bus.
It'll be nice once I switch to mornings, though. The getting up early part will suck, but the being done with my workday by lunchtime will rock.
Bluh, I should go clean. But CBS Sunday Morning is on, and I love that shit.
