Magic Circles

Hi all,

I am collecting data on the magic circles of CCS, Tsubasa and xxxHolic. Here is a summary of the information and best images I have collected thanks to you fans :D (although I don’t always remember who wrote what, sorry) I remember there used to be a thread about magic circles in an old forum, but unfortunatly, I did not save everything.

Clow Reed:
Clow Reed's magic circle was mostly explained in the section about Yukito's magic circle, as most of the symbols are the same. The key difference being that central symbol is a sunburst with a moon orbiting around it, representing Clow Reed's balance of power between the Sun and the Moon.

Sakura Kinomoto:
Sakura's magic circle appeared when she gained her own staff to change the Clow Cards into Sakura Cards. The outermost symbols are the four cardinal directions kanji that also appear in Yukito's, Syaoran's and Clow Reed's magic circles. The next set of symbols are eight of the twelve zodiac symbols, spicifically, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Aquarius, Pisces, Ares and Taurus. The twelve-point star also makes an appearance in this circle. The post prominent symbols are the sunburst to the east, the crescent moon to the west and the star in the center, representing that Sakura draws power from her inner star, yet still relies on a balance between Sun and Moon magic.
