Magic Circles

Hi all,

I am collecting data on the magic circles of CCS, Tsubasa and xxxHolic. Here is a summary of the information and best images I have collected thanks to you fans :D (although I don’t always remember who wrote what, sorry) I remember there used to be a thread about magic circles in an old forum, but unfortunatly, I did not save everything.

Actually, all four symbols are from Rayearth. There are the three mashin symbols. And then later on in the series when all of the three mashin combine to form that one super mashin, that "infinite" symbol represents that. Also if you look closely you'll see that the very center design is actually the same symbol that appears on Hinoto's forehead in X. If I'm not mistaken I think Kanoe also has the same symbol on her forehead. It's that "all seeing eye" type deal that the dream seers have.

I feel that they've created this power circle to incorporate all of the strongest magics from across their series. Even the phases of the moon seems like it could be from Sakura. Now this is only my personal opinion but i think the other diagonal 4 matching symbols, that sort of look like a circle with wings, is very similar to their drawing style when they did RG Veda. I believe this is some sort of reference to something in RG Veda though I havent had the time to go back and read through it to check. It also makes me think of Clover sometimes, but I think RG Veda makes more sense. I dunno. What do you think?

Hum... To be honest, I haven't read these mangas. I have only read CCS, TRC, xxxHolic and some parts of X ... If I find out, I'll make sure to tell you ^^
