Yesterday I saw Douglass. I forgot to mention that about my awesome weekend.
I was happy to actually see her in person and hear about Patrick. I wish she did live closer to him, so she could get to know him better. I'm sure having a phone relationship sucks.
Something she told me really stuck out. She said she hadn't really been touched much in more than a year. A year! There were times in Oklahoma when Patrick would come up and hug her from behind while she was cooking. AW. She said it was kind of annoying, and I told her if she would have told him to stop, I would have slapped her.
Those are the moments you cheerish, because just as quick as they appear, they are gone.
I miss those moments.
