It does not seem like I can travel anymore without ending up scribbling in a notepad. This is some throwaway fic, basically my take on the fic-cliché of Dean being sexually abused as a child and Sam finding out about it.

Oh, oh, boys... you wrote them so well. And at the end? Sam said the perfect thing to make Dean understand. Because Dean doesn't think he matters, the silly boy, but Sam knows better.

That...made my skin crawl and I mean that a huge compliment. There was nothing titillating in this, it was just so sad and squalid and yet kind of hopeful in that Dean has now now, he's not alone like that anymore.

Oh, wow. Dean acts so disconnected from what happened, but still he has to go get that tape so it's not found lying around. And Sam, driving the point home there at the end--I love it.

Perfect perfect Dean and his screwed way of rationalisation - both then and now. How it was just an exchange of commodity/service. Of course, to us and Sam that's just mind-boggling, but in a way its good that Dean thought that way because he would be traumatised (I completely believe Dean when he says he's not affected by it...but then again, he did go back for the pictures *shrugs*)

Anyway - the ending? Excellent. Completely perfect.
