Many thanks to lazy_daze for listening when I wanted to turn Castiel into a sloth, to envinyatar15 for helping me find a goddamn point, and annabeth_fics and catdancerz for letting me pick their brains. Title from Elbow.

For thunder_nari at spn_j2_xmas. Hope you like it! :)

Oh I'm ever so pleased it felt like Sam was there because my biggest problem with Dean/Castiel tends to be how Sam iss just forgotten, so thank you so so much for that! And I'm thrilled the characterisation of Castiel works! Thank you so so much for reading and commenting, my lovely! ♥

...and sinks deeper into his grace. That Dean would deny himself, would deny them, to stop Castiel from falling ... that's just so powerful. I haven't read a lot of Dean/Castiel, but this was done 100% right. Breathtaking! ♥

Oh I'm so happy you liked it, my lovely! I found it much tougher to write Dean/Castiel than I was expecting so your feedback makes me gleeful! ♥ ♥ ♥

I liked this! I prefer my Castiel as angel with his grace intact, and I love that Dean wouldn't let him fall. Sometimes you need the other person to be strong for you and this part of Dean's and Castiel's relationship is pictured here nicely. And I loved the last sentence, showing Castiel settled in being who and what he is.

Well done!
