When I watched SPN with _emeraldgreen, I think the first thing I said when Bobby was on screen was that there needed to be more Dean/Bobby in fandom. So, here's my contribution to that. Endless love to _emeraldgreen for cheerleading on this one. ♥

umm... DAMN. i wandered over from a glowing rec from phantomas. i'm off to read the next part, but i had to say: really great. straightforward but subtle at the same time. you captured the voices of your characters (bobby especially) very well. your characterization of dean is just heartbreaking.

I really enjoyed the use of sex as a form of substitute for emotional intimacy as a way of exploring Dean's complex relationship with his father. I recommended this in my LJ today.

Someone recced this and I had my doubts about this pairing (not surprisingly, I think), but I've seen your work before and was curious how you'd handle something like this.

Beyond the pairing, I'm so impressed with the smooth easy flow that's so Bobby. I really enjoyed the rich evocation of their lives, both physical in the way you put us in the scenes at the junkyard and the hints of the dangerous world they inhabit. I love that the sex is about everything except eroticism, really, just messed up and strange. In other words, the only way this pairing could be done realistically, IMO.

I really enjoyed the picture you paint of the three Winchesters through Bobby's eyes. Like here:

He wants a smile from Dean and it says something that he has to try, Dean's one of the easiest-going kids he knows ( ... )
