This year, I really, really want to write a Big Bang. I miss not writing, or, rather, not finishing anything. I have maybe as many as 12 unfinished BBs on my harddrive. And every single one of them fails to satisfy me in some way. It’s plot primarily. Some of the writing I’m really very proud of. But there’s something in all of them that feels bleak to me.
I want to write J2, and I would like to write more than 20k (as I want to write something with impact and I need length for that).
But I can’t find a trope that I either haven’t already done to death or that is upbeat and cheery but substantial enough to sustain several tens of k.
