[23] Tears of dismay

Ah, what a shame, nothing happened! All the quarantine granted me was the best sleep I'd ever had in months. Whatever illness the corpse held did not pass on to me. I did find a little more elaboration on the disease, and would enjoy answering any further questions from the curious.

With that in mind, I am declaring the quarantine of the east wing over. Any staff that wish to have their own look at the specimen are now granted permission to do so. Standard check-in procedures apply to visitors, and they must be accompanied by one of my medics.

The Medics, too, shall remain on standby in the case of an ant-related emergency, and I will be overseeing the preparations. We all know the drill and which patients are to be moved first and foremost, but should you need a reminder, do check the bulletin board for my checklist.

[A pause here. How to phrase this...]

Dearest Kazahana, might you possess the final book? It appears I was never loaned that particular volume.

[Added a couple of hours after the entry is written:] Let's proceed. The evacuation assignments have been posted on the bulletin board. Acknowledge your station and proceed with the most critical patients down to the Wilderness.

We've practiced this enough and have run the drills, have we not? You know what to do. If you do not, approach me personally and inquire.
