(no subject)
Braved the -8C/ damnably cold F weather to get this and that from Loblaws- except for the thing I really needed and hadn't noted on my list- oniy to find my snow shovel sitting placidly by the bins again when I came out. Am pretty sure I didn't hallucinate its absence but do wish whoever borrowed it had either left a note or returned it more promptly. Ah well. You never know when two shovels will come in handy, and anyway a porch pirate may take my new one. Or not. NNDs have been piling up the amazon boxes on a daily basis and they seem to stick around.
Up at Blawblaws the cashier asks am I collecting stamps-- with which you can buy cookware and no I'm not, having all I need-- at which the middie aged woman behind me asks if she can have,my stamps. Never knew they were transferable but sure, go ahead. At my age, I say, I'm downsizing but evidently she is collecting for her daughter, so go them.
Had to sweep steps and walkway from the snow that fell overnight but the sidewalks are bare if bumpy. City out dumping salt as ever. Should wash away in the Christmas rain, and I suppoee better than ice.
