Updates or whatever.

I went to the Mastodon and Dethklok show, and prior to it, I was about evenly excited for both. But I liked Mastodon much, much more. I also would like to touch their bass player. Anyway, they played their whole new album which was awesome. And my brothers bought so many T-shirts that they nearly died of heat exhaustion. We should have coat checked the shirts they came in with. I also wanted to beat the girl in front of me at Dethklok with a rubber hose, but ehn, you can't have everything.

Matthew Good's new album came out. It's good, but since he's been posting and playing lots of these demos for years, it wasn't a surprise or anything. Owen is not a fan. I have been asked not to play it a lot.

I'm doing alright in school in spite of my bout with the flu/the devil cold. I was sick for weeks, which made getting up early one of those "nope!" activities. I claim that I am taking the most boring class of all time: The Geology of Canada's National Parks. Beat that!!!

So, one of my very favourite things has happened! Can you guess what it is??? No??? A man broke into the zoo and climbed over numerous fences to get close to the tiger who proceeded to grab him and make a valiant attempt to tear his arms off. Now, the reason this is so awesome is that, really, no matter how you dress it up and no matter how "natural environment mimicking" you make it, that tiger lives in a BOX. It is safely in this box and unless you make a seriously impressive attempt at sticking your body parts ON the cage there is no way to be bitten by this animal. I was once at a zoo and I was standing at the windows they have near the tiger exhibit. The tiger saw something it wanted out of the window and jumped at it. I will never, ever forget how much that glass bounced after being smacked by a comparatively small tiger. Having seen the tiger involved in the mauling, that guy should be super thankful he still HAS arms ripped up though they may be, since his brain is obviously missing.

Still, not my all time fave as far as zoo attacks go. The best comedy that zoo maulings has to offer was when one of Sharon Stone's husbands went to tour a zoo and got in the Komodo exhibit where he was bitten by a Komodo Dragon. Those things naturally live on only 4 islands! He had to really search for one to be attacked by. Sigh.

I appreciate apartment living more and more as it gets colder. Not paying for heat and water means I can take numerous warm showers and crank my heat up. Maybe I'll see if I can get my apartment to resemble Florida, you know, warm and humid. Hmmmmm.

Hope you're all doing okay!
