Welcome to the first of my blog entries about life on EduIsland II, the education island that I manage on the Main Grid of Second Life!
Firstly, I'd like to recap some important issues that may have been missed when they were announced by in-world notices.
We are getting quite tight on prims on the island, so if you have a rented house or land please do your best to keep your prim usage within your proporty's maximum allowance. Doing so means that we can provide more of the features that you want.
It's also a good time to remind that people who share a building can pay a contribution towards the rent into the rental boxes and thus divide the cost of the tenancy between the residents.
The other way that we can use prims efficiently is to exchange the present model of media player (which uses an unhealthy 47 prims) for the new model we now have in stock that has the same menu but a different outer appearance and utilizes only 12 prims. Changing media players will be voluntary, since some folk like the look of the current system. If you'd like to have the new version installed in your building, please IM me in-world.
Lastly, if you have any suggestions at all about the island and how it is run, what features you'd like to see etc then please do send them to me - your opinions really are taken seriously and are carefully considered!
