Well my first week of my new job has gone pretty well. Working in a hospital pharmacy in Australia really isn't as different to working in one in England as I expected. I pretty much had found my feet by midday on monday and since then i've just been getting faster and more confident at my duties. It's kind of a drag getting up at 6:30 in order to get to work for 8:30 though and not getting home till after 6pm is a bitch too, but c'est la vie. My feet are killing me too, been waaaaay too long since I had a job where I was on my feet all day, but that should pass in due time. What did fucking amaze me was when I found out my salary - seems i'm earning pretty much the same as what my father does, which has irritated my mother no end. She keeps calling me a 'jammy bastard'. ^.^

It's amazing what a couple of weeks can do. I've spent most of the time since I got back home sitting in front of my computer, miserable, and trying to work out how to get back to England. Now i'm cheerful and happy. I have routine back in my life and am keeping normal hours again, i've started going out and having something resembling a social life, and i'm actually for the first time somewhat optimistic about being in Perth. Things just recently have really started to fall my way, first I get a free car in perfect condition, then I get a high paying job... I wonder what's next. :) I guess this is life making up for the crap time I had for pretty much all of last year.
