I know that ones taste in food changes over the years and I think mine is exemplified beautifully in my pizza preferences. At first I only ate Hawaiian. It's what my family always got on pizza nights because it's what everybody liked. Then I decided that it was boring to always get the same kind and I tried really hard to convince my family to order something different once in a while. I succeeded and we started getting a bit more creative. I started liking everything on pizzas - meat, lots of meat, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and pretty much everything except olives. I loved the deluxe types, the all dressed, the meat lovers etc. My family`s number one was the panago chicken club and the taco pizza which comes with fresh lettuce on top...just like a taco! I felt like the more toppings a pizza had the better it was. As of about a year ago though, I`ve refined my tastes to more obscure vegetarian type pizzas. I love panago`s veggie and goat cheese, the veggie deluxe, and the broccoli and __(something)__ from the SUB. Too much meat makes the pizza gross, veggie is where it`s at! I find it interesting to track things like this. My choice in pizza seems like a very typical progression of tastes, going from very basic cheese or Hawaiian to deluxe to fancy veggie.
There is also an entire different class of pizza. The Real Italian Thin Crust! soooooooooo goooooooooood nom nom. It`s one of the reasons I like going to Switzerland (they get pretty close to italian plus Italy is just a short drive away). There is one pizzeria I`ve found here that also gets a passing grade. I absolutely love margarita pizza, it`s so simple you just have to love it, especially if the sauce tastes like actual tomatoes. Now I want one. Maybe I'll get my mom to take me the next time she comes for a visit.
