thanks for all the suggestions for Gold Country Activities, people! It was so damn hot, though, that we just stuck around the house. Seriously, seriously hot. like, 110 degrees hot. we went from the house to the pool and back, and that's about it.
the lightning we saw on saturday was pretty, but in retrospect, since it sparked hundreds of fires in northern cal, it wasn't so great.
the air around here is murky and smells of smoke and makes me want bbq.
