Tuck wandered through the gardens, ignoring the dimming light. She tried not to think about how if Izzy were here, she'd make up stories about the spirits that lived in the trees or how the stone dragons came alive at night. She tried not to think about how Anastasia made miso soup and vegetable tempura like they did at the tea house here. Grasping a penny in her fist, Tuck walked up the steep red-laquered bridge over the koi pond. "I want to find my dad," she whispered, tossing it in. But night had come and she was still alone.
