Mobile Phone

I'll be looking for a new mobile when I get back to the UK. Can anyone recommend me a decent handset/tariff/dealer to go with as I really have no clue what is good at the moment. I'll want proper email/web access on it, as I use that alot on my current phone here, and I'm not sure how feasable it is, but I would also like that in a flip-type phone ( Read more... )

I am pretty sure that these support Japanese language input if you get the right patch for them.

And if you want to be massivly ripped off people seem to like the iphone.

Regarding providers, it probably depends how much web/mail access you want. There's no such thing as a properly unlimited data tariff as far as I know - I'm with T-mobile (1 GB/month for £7.50 added on to normal tariff) as they offered the most flat-rate data when I got my new contract back in December.

I know with a bit of a dodgy hack you can get foreign firmware onto my N95, but I haven't tried Japanese. It's a big-ass brick of a smartphone anyway, so probably not what you're after.
