I haven't been around much lately, lj-ers. My daily schedule is fairly exhausting, though--and doesn't leave much room for posting random tidbits about my not very interesting life online. But for those of you who are curious....
My daily schedule is as follows:
-Wake up sometime between 6:30-7:30
-Make lunch and/or do some chores that have been ignored for far too long (i.e. take out the trash, excavate the sink of dishes...)
-Drive to Silver Spring, park, and walk form the garage to work. (This usually consumes an hour of my day, sometime longer, if traffic is retarded)
-Work an 8 hour editing shift with a 30 minute off the clock lunch break (so really, 8.5 hours in the building)
- Drive back home to Columbia (lately this has been taking me an hour, although usually it's about 30 minutes)
-Stop at the Giant for supplies with which to make dinner
-Make dinner/eat dinner
-Get a shower
-Sleep
-Repeat
I usually find time in there to draw some or play video games in the evenings, occasionally checking webcomics and such, but not for very long.
I'll be shooting wedding on the weekends during the busy season (with some noted exceptions that I have made clear are impossible for me to working on) and apparently, working one Saturday a month in the studio during our "down time". Which is to say that we aren't creating more work for ourselves, but trying to get through our immense backlog of work that we created for ourselves last year. (We're editing September '07 now, if that gives you any idea)
I really wanted to believe that there would be more free time after college. But somehow, there isn't. There us more money....and more freedom too--but not the free time I imagined there would be.
