So I haven't posted in like months. I suck at life, I'll admit it. But now I'm on mid-winter break & I don't have to work too much right now. Supposedly January & February are fast food's slowest months. I'm not buying it. I've been there 4 months not & the last 2 have been much worse then the first 2. It's mainly because they think they're the slowest months, so they're not scheduling a lot of people. I'm normally stuck doing front counter & presenting (last part of drive-thru) at the same time. Not easy, let me tell you. But yeah, yesterday we had so few people & so many customers that labor was at 8%. That basically means that only 8% of our profits are going to paying for all of the workers. My manager was thrilled, it was so funny. I've seen labor at as high as 80% & it's normally about 20%, so 8% was pretty amazing. Maybe they should start paying us more... just a thought.
Past few months haven't been that bad all & all. My favorite manager quit, but I'm really do love just about everyone I work with. School kind of sucks, but you know... I've been fainting lately. Well I've only fainted once, but I keep getting that same nauseous-lightheaded-blackout feeling that I got when I did faint. They want me to get blood drawn - probably tomorrow - but I'm deathly afraid of needles digging into me. Just thinking about it makes me cry - seriously. I'm so scared!
