[CP24] Detroit files for bankruptcy
Detroit has become the largest U.S. city to ever file for bankruptcy. A state-appointed emergency manager filed for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection on behalf of the city Thursday. The move follows a long-running decline in both the population and tax base of the city.
