(no subject)
so I sent my car in the shop on Tuesday to get an estimate on what it would cost me to get my tires balanced and new rotors. The estimate came to $230. But that was the good news actually.
Ron came back out and said
"Do you need this car today?"
I said "yes I have class at 11."
and he said "well you have no brakes so it would be pretty dangerous to drive this right now."
I didn't know what to do and iwas just like "uhhh I need my car."
he said "alright, we'll put on some new brake pads and rotors for you real fast and you can go to class and we'll just make an appointment to fix the rest."
so that was the story with that.
I paid $138 to get that done and I guess he balanced my tires for free and the rest of the cost would be to pay for the rear drums and I made an appointment to get that done next friday.
*phew*
so I went to class the next day and on thrusday did not have class until noon so I took my mum grocery shopping, took her to the post office and went to Ron's to give him the rest of the $138 I owed cuz I only gave him $40 on tuesday.
So I get home unload the groceries and get in my car to go to class.
first I smelled my pretty peachy peach car freshener <3
then I smelled something else. this nauseating smell.
I started my car and it sounded fine so I started driving to class.
as I was driving down 202 my windows started to fog. I was so confused because it wasn't moist out at all. nonetheless I turned on my de-fogger and the fog went away. I turned onto 119 and drove for a bit and then noticed that every hill I went up, my "service engine soon" blinked on. I turned off the de-foggers so I could listen. I looked around me and blinked my eyes a couple of times because I thought I was seeing things. I was surrounded in this thick white smoke. I looked at my de-foggers and it was BILLOWING out of the vents!
I thought I was going to die.
I pulled over my car, shut it off and jumped out so I could compose myself. Once I could breathe again, I re-started the car and ran over to the hood and looked under before opening it to make sure nothing was on fire. Fire doesn't usually give off bright white smoke though.
I opened my hood and there was no smoke or anything. I ran back to my car and it was smoking again on the inside. I quickly shut it off.
I have no cell phone so I thought I was fucked. But within 5 seconds a big truck with 2 guys in it had stopped.
I got a ride to MB to use the phone and called Tim at his house. He was there within a few minutes and I headed home.
Called Steve and when we got to my car he noticed that my car had no anti-freeze.
He poured some in and as he did he told me to start my car. I did and it started to smoke again.... he looked a little further and noticed that anti-freeze pouring right back out the bottom of the container. We had her towed.
I have no car and no way to get to classes. Tim is helping me out the best he can with work and I appreciate him so much. He skipped classes yesterday and took me and my mum to searstown to buy my sister birthday presents. There, the three of us had a blast playing in Toys R Us with all the toys and my mum invited him to come to my sister's birthday next Sunday.
We went to *Denny's*... got some lunch. I paid for me and my mum and we went back home and chilled until we had work.
I'll prolly call Mike or JB (who commute as well) and see if they can't give me a ride to school Monday and then Tim could just pick me up that night after my last class. I can't afford to miss anymore classes.
That basically sums up my week.
