Go Dry Off Those Memories

Hello! After months and months of inactivity, I decided to return to LJ for a bit. I can't guarantee anything extraordinary, but I'll try. School ended but my workload hasn't ended. In fact, it's growing by the week. Several things have changed. One is my steady growth into fashion and two is my sudden interest in baking. But the most interesting thing is my trip to Japan this past spring. I can't tell you the extent of the culture shock I experienced. It was so different. So incredibly different. Even with getting lost at ten o'clock at night, I still felt safe. That feeling of security was extremely foreign and bittersweet somehow. I even got a six-hour adventure through Tokyo! Everyone in our group was allowed to roam around the street of Tokyo for six hours. The only catch was that you had to be back at a certain spot at a precise time. So my friend and I abused this privilege and went to Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc exploring the shops and playing in the arcades.

But can you guess what was the funnest thing? Purika. Japanese photobooths. If you decided to visit Japan, make sure you go to those purika booths. They're crazy fun. If you don't, you'll be missing out! I went to four booths and I'm not even satisfied yet.

In Shibuya, I kept hearing this "Kiss, kiss, kiss" song. So when I walked into this music store, I spotted the CD. How could you miss it? It was all over the place! Of course, I ended up buying it. The song is very 'poppy', so that's the type of music you like, I highly recommend it. It'll be stuck in your head for a while, trust me. It's called Kiss Kiss Kiss by BENI.

Needless to say, I had a wonderful time. I really want to go back. I really do. Why couldn't we have more time in Tokyo?

This is a charm I got in Shinjuku.

There always seemed to be a vending machine at every corner.

I really love Shibuya.

Here's an awesome Alice In Wonderland pop-up book. I don't have any pictures of the inside yet. Will take some time later.

Goodbye, goodbye. さようなら、 さようなら。

japan, updates, daily things
