My First day in NY.......

We did a lot today.  After an hour and a half of walkin' we finally find a place for Dim Sum.  And it was goood!  It was my first time sitting at a table with strangers.  ^_^  We then continued on walking China Town, it's interesting, lots of things being sold.  Chocolate Mousse rocks! Then we took the subway to the World Trade Center site and see how it is there.  Not much going on there.... just a big hole in the ground.  That's when my feet starts to kill me, darn shoes hurt like stepping on stones or something.

I went on a ferry today and passed by the Statue of Liberty.  It was very nice and fun.  We didn't get off on Staten Island, but instead we just rode the ferry back and forth.  My feet were about to fall off by now.....but I still managed to have fun.

We decide to go see W's uncle way across town, and on the way there, I finally get to buy a new sandal for $2 at China Town.  It may not be one of the best shoes, but it was a great feeling putting them on and walking with them after what I had on.  It was almost like pillows, even though it was flat and hard, so you can imagine.  We meet up with W's uncle at a restaurant, and that was the best crabs we've ever had.  We chowed down even though we were full.

Next, we were going to meet up with some friends, but they were tired.  So W and I went to Time Square.  As I walked out of the hot subway, and looked up, I was completely breath-taken...........  As it was night already, the street was full of flashing lights everywhere, full of people, and full of energy.  We walked around and I was just utterly awed.  It was great.  We also passed by this group of musicians, and that was some fantastic music.  It's from Southern America, but it's not Salsa or anything like that.  It was very beatful, happy, but at the same time somewhat relaxing.

Ok, I'm tired now, and I'm off to bed.  Just wanted to record my first experience in NY  ^_^
