system of a down were amazing tonight (technically last night) in orlando. marley, jessica and i snagged spots directly at the front...right up by the gates on the floor. marley decided the bassist...chavo? is the man of her dreams. i wish they played more old stuff, like from their self-titled first album. at least they played sugar. what a great song. serge didn't really work the crowd, at all, which was kind of upsetting. malakian did a little bit of dancing here and there. i think it was chavo that was the most fun to watch...and the most into the crowd.
bad acid trip opened up for them...they sound similar to system of a down and were just really fun to watch...the singer was acting stupid the whole time so even if you didn't like the music, they were still entertaining.
i'm sorry, but, i didn't like the mars volta. i honestly was thisclose to falling asleep during their set. but i usually like bands better live when i know some of their stuff, and unfortunately i only knew like two mars volta songs. oh well. i'm sure they're talented but i just could not get into them.
tomorrow i'm redeeming myself as a human being. and i will get those things in my last entry done..don't think i'm ignoring you! <3
