In which businesses quantify how much they suckered you

My favorite part: "According to the U.S. Commerce Department, jewelers do about 7.8 percent of their year's sales in February, a big reason Tiffany last month rolled out a brand-new engagement ring..."

Generally speaking, a month is 8.3% of the year. If you correct for February only being 28 days, it's 7.7%. Oooh, I can see how disproportionate jewelry sales are, a whole 0.1% disparity.

Take this with a grain of salt, which apparently is the equivalent size of my unfeeling heart.
