Summary:Yesterday Hibari asked him out, and Tsuna is still confused.
AN: I felt that I had left off in a bad spot last time. I wanted to jump straight to the date, but it would have been a pain to leave out the rest of 'asking' out part. Still no beta, but I read over it a few times, however if there is something that I missed let me know. Their date with be up next promise.
Warning: pre-slash
Cat and Mouse Tsuna cursed when a blush surfaced across his cheeks for the hundredth time. It was horrible how he was acting like a love struck girl, when he wasn't even love struck! He didn't like Hibari like that at all, but here he was blushing and stuttering whenever he thought of what happened yesterday.
thought bubble appears with chibified Hibari and Tsuna sitting at a low table . . .
"Sawada Tsunayoshi," Hibari said, still gazing at Tsuna, there was now determination with the devouring presence in his eyes, "go out with me."
"Ehhh?!" cried out Tsuna in shock.
A dark aura starts to grow out of Hibari, and Tsuna scared for his life tries to remedy the situation but all his words come out as terrified gibberish. Which only annoys Hibari further, and right when Tsuna thinks he's done for a condescending voice interrupts.
"Dame Tsuna," said Reborn, from his place on top of the table. He was sipping from Tsuna's forgotten cup of tea.
"Ahh! Reborn!" Tsuna cried out, surprised and a little scared. Some how he knew that his situation was only going to get worse and not better.
Hibari's dark aura dissipated as his attention was drawn in by Reborn's sudden appearance, "The baby," he mumbled, a look coming to his eyes to match the creepy smile growing along his lips, "too bad I'm busy or I'd bit you to death."
"Eee!" shrieked Tsuna, as the creepy look was directed on him again, though thankfully with out the sinister aura. The poor boy couldn't help but try and escape, his bottom sliding across the tatami mats as his hands scurried him away from the older boy.
"H-h-hi-hibari-san," was all Tsuna could stutter out, terrified and terribly confused about what was happening. Strangely, Reborn was silent and motionless, calmly drinking Tsuna's tea and watching Hibari.
The said boy had gotten up and with his gaze hooked to Tsuna's own frightened one, crossed the large space separating them. Tsuna made to scoot away again, but found that there was a wall pressed against his back. He was tempted to try and escape the room all together, but dropped the idea after seeing the smirk that Reborn was sporting. He knew something terrible would happen if he tried and run.
"Sawada Tsunayoshi," Hibari said again, the creepy look gone as he kneeled in front of the younger boy, "go out with me."
Tsuna felt sweat slid from his temple to tickle his jaw, Hibari wasn't 'asking' him out, he was demanding it. There was no way he could say no, not if he wanted to live!
He couldn't even speak up and say 'yes', all Tsuna was able to do was nod his head vigorously and pray that was good enough. It seemed to have worked, since Hibari was leaning back, the creepy look replaced by the more safer one of boredom.
Tsuna let out a sigh of relief, 'Thank goodness,' he thought to himself.
"I'll pick you up at 11am on Sunday," Hibari said, his voice soft but leaving no room for argument, not that Tsuna would.
All Tsuna could do was nod his head fiercely, and stutter out a high pitched "Y-y-yes!"
That seemed to be all that Hibari needed to hear before he was once again standing, with a small short bow to a deeply blushing Tsuna, he walked from the room. Tsuna sighed with relief, as he barely heard the older boy thank his mother before leaving and shutting the door behind him.
"What have I got myself into?" the young boy asked himself, as he got up and gathered up the sweets and tea. He paused briefly when he noticed that once again that Reborn had disappeared.
He huffed as he headed to the kitchen, mumbling about malicious babies and dangerous guardians. When he got to the the doorway of the kitchen Tsuna couldn't help but to stop and blush, remembering that not only had he agreed to go on a date, but that Hibari was the one who had asked. Who knew that the older boy thought of him that way.
Tsuna's thought bubble is burst with the impact of something hitting him hard in the back of the head . . .
"Ow! Reborn!" Tsuna yells turning to look at the baby, and while there is no doubt as to who threw . . . the heavy text book (once Tsuna took a look to see what had hit him), the infant was sound asleep.
"Figures," the boy mumbles and goes back to trying to finish his homework. But it is no use, all Tsuna can think about is the events of yesterday. And with a heavy blush Tsuna again has to ask himself exactly what it all meant and how it had come to this. He said yes to a date with Hibari. Someone he was most definitely terrified of, there was no way that he thought of him any other way.
Was there?
