Sandra gazed out the window trying to comprehend what had happened earlier. Noah’s alive. Every time she thought it another part of her would tell her that she was crazy. But he had been there, he had walked into their house and then he had said that he had to leave them. Her eyes filled with tears, due to both the anger and the sorrow she felt. She wiped at her eyes as she heard someone move behind her. “Mom?” Sandra turned and smiled sadly at Claire. She saw the look reflected in her eldest face. She grabbed Claire and hugged her. They stayed like that for a long time. Both in shock, both trying to come to terms with what had happened and both trying to stay strong for the family. As Sandra looked up she saw Lyle and pulled him into the hug. “So,” Lyle said when neither of the others spoke, “what do we do now?” Sandra sat down and her children followed suit, “I think … I think that we should stay.” She saw both of them nod. Claire stood up suddenly, “Claire honey?” Claire started pacing the room, “How could they do this? How could they make us think? They brought us his ashes.” Sandra nodded as she saw tears in Claire’s eyes. She stood up and walked over to her, taking her face in her hands she nodded. “I know. But he’s alive. And if I know your father; he’s going to find a way to come back to us.”

Dreamtime
He stood over the battle field. Almost all of them dead. And they had been so close, so close to peace. He had worked so hard, used all of his knowledge to bring the two tribes together. The dinner was the last hurdle. They had the meal, they came to an agreement and there would’ve been peace. Not only for these two tribes, but for the whole world. He bent down slowly to a dying man trying to talk to him. The man tried to speak again but he stopped him, “I know,” he said in a deep rumbling voice. A voice that was filled with the knowledge of the world. The look in the man’s eyes said it all. I’m sorry, we failed you. “Such a shame,” the snide voice said behind him. He turned and looked at the young woman. She stood there smirking, her long black hair and black eyes shining.

“When will you learn?” she said walking towards him, going out of her way to tread on the fallen. A man on the field tried to reach for her, she glanced at him and he turned to dust, “They can’t be taught. They are here for us to rule. They are weak.” He shook his head, “No. We are here to guide them. To teach them.” She cackled, “They will never listen. They are too arrogant, too stupid, too young. They're only good for one thing and that is to all die,” she looked down at the field in disgust. “You see how easy it was to manipulate them. To change them. That’s why I will always win. And that’s why you will always lose, Uluru.” Uluru watched her leave and sighed. “You’re wrong Medilia. One day. The world will become a better place.”
