"Why are you all doing this once again?" Ed asked; the smiles of his team was almost blinding.

"Because Samtastic needs a chaperon," Wordy answered, slinging his arm around the younger man's shoulders. "You need to look for a girlfriend, man."

Spike rubbed his hands together, the excitement was practically dripping off of him. "Are you kidding me? Free plane tickets and seats in the luxury box. Who needs a girlfriend when you have four good willing friends to see Canucks kicking some Sharks?"

"Just one good, lucky friend, Spike," Jules reminded him. "Assuming no deranged psycho decides to get creative this weekend, that is."

"I didn't know you're into hockey," Sam nudged her with his shoulder, looking pleasantly surprised.

She gave him a pointed look. "I have four brothers. How did you think I spent my weekend? Playing Barbie?"

Parker moved to stand in front of his eager team. Four matches were shyly peeking out of his closed hand. "The rule is simple: whoever gets the shortest wins."

"Let's do it together," Lew suggested.

Eyeing each other closely, Team One minus Parker, Ed and Sam each picked a match.

"Damn Lew, I was aiming for that one," Spike grimaced, holding the tip of the middle one with his thumb and forefinger.

"She beat me, so I took yours."

Jules scowled. "Funny, but you grabbed mine, Spike."

For a rookie, Sam Braddock looked like one damn proud team leader. "One, two… three!"

Voila!

"Shit," Wordy swore under his breath. His match was intact. "Oh, might as well. Sunday's ravioli night."

All eyes moved to Jules and Lew but one quick glimpse told them that the lady sniper had won the round.

Grinning and trying to ignore Sam's smirk (he didn't even try to hide it, bastard), Jules compared her stick to the one belonging to the man standing between her and a possible not-date with the newbie.

"We've got a winner,"

"Mr. Scarlatti!" Ed announced, clapping his hands for a greater effect.

"Oh yeah! Thanks, Lew!" Spike was grinning like the popular purple cat in the popular tale. He shot Jules a wink. "Credits to you too, or Lew wouldn't have taken mine, though you grabbed it 'cos I took yours, so… thanks to me! Let's call it faith."

"You should send General Braddock a card, and don't forget the rose." Parker generously advised.

"Maybe I will," Spike gave him a thumb up as he started walking backwards. "Okay, better start with the reading and research. Thanks, buddy!"

And then there were six.

Sam frowned and turned around. The expressions on his teammates' faces were a mixture of annoyed and amused and they all looked like newly convicted felons. "Research?"

"I won't be surprised if he gets one of those Hockey for Dummies books." Lew noted.

"He doesn't understand hockey?"

"Congrats, Sammy, you got a date." Wordy pat his back before following Ed and Parker out of the briefing room. "Enjoy your weekend, and don't do anything I won't do."

"Wait-,"

"Please take care of him."

Sam rolled his eyes. And he thought Lew was supposed to be less-lethal. "Come on guys, it can't be that bad."

"Don't forget to take pictures." Jules quipped impishly.

Closing his mouth, Sam sat back and stared at Jules' retreating figure.

He was being set-up...

...or not.

Either way, it's going to be one interesting weekend.
