We're both brilliant! Ha, I still can't believe it. I only just a scraped a first (average of 69.1), but no one needs to know that...Still very very happy! Are you doing anything to celebrate?
Yes, you should be very happy! You are very deserving. I was going out for drinks with friends this evening anyway but now it'll feel extra festive! My parents are both in planes atm so I haven't told them yet but soon I'll be able to shriek down the phone at them! You? xxx
I'm going out for lunch with my family in London (probably a Lebanese restaurant), and then afternoon tea somewhere. It's nice that you still have the excitement of telling your parents - they'll be so proud! Ah, I want to tell everyone, but it feels too early to put anything on Facebook, as loads of people won't have checked yet.
My best paper was Romantics, btw - I'm telling myself it's all thanks to Shelley!
Woohoo! I my highest marks in papers 7 and 8, but my second highest were papers 1 and 6. I did well in the early modern ones too which is crucial as I want to do an early modern MA!
Again, well done! Doing well in early modern will definitely make it easier for the MA, although they'll still just be impressed with a first. I'm a bit disappointed by the fact that Paper 7 was my lowest mark (joint with Paper 3 commentary), but then no one's ever going to ask for an mark breakdown, and I'm still happy with how I did overall.
Well done! You really deserved it, and I'm so happy for you. :D
