Unsurprising news: I fail at deadlines and absolutely cannot focus on anything for more than 10 minutes at a time today if I'm lucky. So I've not gotten anything done for my ff20in20 stuff yet. Maybe I'll be able to kick myself into gear later.
Also unsurprising: LJ is dumb. Also the little twitter/facebook checkboxes by the comment forms are annoying. A clever coder made a greasemonkey script to get rid of them. ENJOY.
Might be surprising to those of you who haven't seen me bitch about it on plurk/twitter: My Uncle Chuck has gone over the deep end. He is EAGER for the rapture to happen. He not only hopes it happens in his lifetime, he's been sending emails every so often saying that it might happen soon. Today he sent one expounding about how it's likely to happen in 9 days!!!! /cue eyerolling

Last week he sent me an incredibly racist, bigoted email about "the Muslim takeover" and I just wanted to gouge my eyes out after seeing something so hate filled and vile coming from someone who considers himself a good Christian. I absolutely refuse to pass it on, so no. I won't be posting it for you to see how disgusting it was. You can get a small taste of it in those links up there, but that's like toned down 500%.
I emailed him in response to that disgusting excuse of an email informing him that I did not wish to receive any further emails of that sort and that passing it on is not a very Christian thing to do. He never replied to my email. So I don't know if he actually took it to heart (not likely) or feels he now needs to "save my soul™". very likely since he sent the screencapped email to the entire family today. I expect my lack of reply to that email will not go over well with him.
