Today was an eventful day at work. I've been indefinitely suspended until I get the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) paperwork filled out and approved. I'm crossing my fingers that I can see the specialist before the end of the month so I can get back to work quickly. As it stands I'm not gonna be able to make November rent. Which also means that there's definitely no chance of my being able to go to Youmacon this year, unless I miraculously win the lotto. (It'll take a miracle since I can't afford to even play the lotto. XD;)
Needless to say, I'm depressed and stressed about all of this. And because I'm suspended, I can't even qualify for unemployment.
For those not in the know, the reason for needing the FMLA paperwork is because I've been missing a couple days of work a month due to health problems. I've got chronic migraines, which sometimes come with incredibly bad light sensitivity and I've got some sort of chronic pain condition. The specialist I've been seeing every couple of months, suspects it's
fibromyalgia, but until we're able to prove that it's not something else, I don't have an actual diagnosis.
