Then talent show was amazing. Hogwarts has some talented students and everyone had fun. Until Sofie and Sylvie win. Some of their spirits dampened after that

Sylvie has been so excited about the win but she was feeling a bit off now? She's not sure why. She was scanning the food table and trying not to think about what might have happened if she'd performed alone.
"Really? You looked really confident," he admired that, she looked completely effortless while she danced even if he knew that it had taken a lot of practice.
"It's a part of putting on a show," Sylvie shrugged. "You have to look confident no matter what you do. Even if you make a mistake you keep smiling and keep going." Though neither nor Sofie put one foot wrong tonight. It was tight.
"Well, I've been dancing since I could walk," Sylvie said. "That part is easy for me. And I love it. I feel most like myself when I'm on stage." She thinks about it, "Maybe that's why I love quididtch so much. That's putting on a show too."
"That makes sense," he put his arm around her casually, he'd gotten much better at being relaxed around her in the last few days. And it was important to act a certain way when there were a lot of people around, "I should get some Slytherin gear to cheer for you properly."
"At least since I don't play quidditch, you don't have to cheer for the other team," he tries not to, but he can't help but notice his mum and his aunt practically burning holes in the back of his head. Not fun, he tries to ignore it.
"I am glad about that. But I am cheering for Hufflepuff against Ravenclaw." That only has a little bit to do with Alfie. "They have a good chance. They're not bad."
"I'm sure they'll be good," Dae doesn't know the intricacies of quidditch, sports aren't something that he finds all that interesting, he's just very good at cheering other people on.

"That was amazing," Cade beamed at her, entirely sincere, "You're a really good dancer." He offered his arms out for a hug, if she wanted it.

She grins and hugs him. "You think so?" she asks.

"Yeah," he leaned in a little to tell her a secret, "I think you were my favorite. Don't tell Blue, okay?"

Sylvie giggled, "I won't say a word." She pulls away. "I was honestly surprised."
