Where has the time gone?!

Well...where do I start? I left off in Sept '03 and here it is August of '04....

Well, I am done with radio, for now...I must finish school and work full time to pay for the mortgage...there wasn't much oppurtunity to do more with it right now without skipping work or school and I can't do that, it's too important...plus, new FCC rules and rules for the new studios are totally over board, so I was getting real burnt out.

In my last update, I mention that I got to meet Marty Brennamen and his family, well, I dated his daughter for a few months, great girl and great family, it simplly didn't work out. I was invited to go to Marge Schott's infamous Xmas party. Ashley and I couldn't go because finals were the next day. I wish I would have had the chance to make it, because it would have been a lot of fun and it turned out to be Ms. Schott's last Xmas party.

Went to Atlanta again on New Year's Day. New Year's Eve Sucked, I was in bed by 1, but I had a 7:30 am flight to Atlanta, so...Atlanta was good though, I drank at Coyote Ugly, puked all over Atlanta...Good times.

Met me a girl in Feburary. I'm in love. She's a great girl and we've been dating for six months now. I've gotten her into wrestling, she watched during the nWo days and her favorite wrestler is Konnan. I've got some work to do there. I tried busting out some UWF on her last night and she wasn't overly impressed with the Badstreet Brawl with the 'birds and Doc/Dibiase, but hey, no ones perfect.

I am actually getting ready to graduate from NKU (Northern Kentucky University). I start my final semester on Monday and then I am done FOREVER!!

As for wrestling, I've been refereeing once a month for Queen City Wrestling in Cincinnati. There are a lot of good kids there that are young and have potential to be good wrestlers one day. I did ring announcing for IWA Mid South for their King of the Death Matches. I am going to be heading up for the TPI next month in Highland, IN. Who knows if I'll announce, ref, or if I just hang out, guess that's up to the boss man. Since my girlfriend will start school again soon and I am out of radio, I would like to increase the number of shows I do in wrestling, as long as I work for a respectable promotion with good surroundings. I see too many people claiming to be professionals, but go online and disrepect other workers, thus disrepecting the business as a whole. Any schmuck who posts under a false name on a message board and talks trash deserves a beating from Mark Wolf.

Not that anyone who reads this knows my family, but they are all doing very well, my mom is 50 in two weeks, so we're having a PARTY!!

As a side note on wrestling, everyone should be a fan of Nigel McGuiness. I ran into him the other night at a local watering hole. Not only did he remember me from nearly a year ago, but we spoke for 20 min and he put up with my drunken babbling. He's one hell of a wrestler too. That whole night was hazy, the only thing I remember is talking to Nigel and talking with a wrestler from HWA who was wearing a Tracy Smothers shirt. No matter how many hot girls are around, no matter how many drinks I've had, there is always room for Tracy Smothers Love. Everyone remember that, ok?

Anywho, back to work, thanks for both of you who read this.

Take Care,
Toolman
