I normally don't actually attend scifi/fantasy conventions. I show at them but I rarely like dealing with the people and the crowds and the hassle. However, this year is different.
My attending list:
Boskone - Feb 15 - 17. Don't know how long I'll be there but its always worth a look-see.
AnimeBoston - March 21 - 23.
starherd along with a load of costumes and devious plans will be descending upon the city and much silliness will ensue.
IlluxCon - November 6 - 8. Already bought the tickets for this one. Not only does it sound like an absolute gold mine of information, its practically in my home town. Who'd have thunk they'd be able to get that artist line up to congregate in Altoona, PA? Starherd, you should really let your sister know.
Maybes -
ComicCon - July 24 - 27. I was originally planning to go to this due to the EMG convention collective thingy but that is up in the air and I might be too late now.
I will not be attending or showing Arisia this year. I'll have some stuff in
blk's braiding room,
Spicy Braids but other than that, nadda.
Arisia just doesn't sell enough for me to keep doing it any longer. Maybe once they get into another hotel and have the art show in a reachable location, I'll reconsider. Being put on the very top floor of a fairly tall hotel with only two elevators that work 1/4 of the time just doesn't help the art show sales.
So, now I just need to figure out what costumes I need for AnimeBoston (cause I NEED costumes, oh yes I do) and get sewing.
