Catchup
I had a lovely family Christmas with lots of snow and far too many cookies! It's snowing again now, big fat pretty flakes that have the cats fascinated. Yesterday Max climbed the Christmas tree and got the caught with the lights strung around his neck, and he is not a cat that takes kindly to human interference, so it took three of us to get him loose. He's nasty with the claws - never developed that sense that most house cats have, that human skin is fragile and they shouldn't attack us full force. He invariably draws blood. Good times. I'm taking the tree down before I leave today, so no cats have to spend next weekend stuck in it while my parents are away.
The parents are picking me up to leave Jersey for real on the 3rd, next Sunday night. I have so much to do before then! Also have to write a $500 check to the state for my insurance surcharge, and find out what other fees I have to pay in order to (hopefully) get my license back soon. If Massachusetts doesn't actively hate me it'll be a pleasant change.
